Ah, what if?

Little Portia, trying to stay warm. We're both wondering when spring will come to visit. She loves her coat.

Made these peanut butter cookies yesterday, they are great - soft and chewy. I'm thinking they would be great for ice cream sandwiches. I skimped on the flour, so they deflated quite a bit after taking them out of the oven. You can find the recipe here: Eat Live Run
They are fantastic on a cold winter day with a cup of coffee.

A Sunday Kind of Lazy

Took these yesterday, actually. Marelli watching me work.:)
Not much energy to do much today, used it all up yesterday. We also got the pond cleaned, put the fish back in it. Yes, they survived (thrived) in a green plastic tub and living in the basement through the winter. Can't believe it, but I'm so happy. Now, if they will just stay alive in the pond.:) They are three times the size they were last summer. Lost one during the winter, it jumped out of the tub?
Fish photos are not that great, pond is a little cloudy and it was late in the evening. I get the best pictures of them when the sun is shining on the pond.

Little Marelli Visits The Vet Today

My little guy jumped off the car seat today and pulled a nail out of his back paw, (it's the wet paw in the back.) I think it hurt me more than it hurt him. Took him to the vet to get it checked and make sure it didn't need any treatment. It didn't. It bled a lot. I was very afraid it was bad. He was such a trooper, didn't complain once. It's doing great and he's not even limping.

Marelli

Yesterday was grooming day for Portia and Marelli. They always return home exhausted since they leave the house at 6:30 and do not get their usual morning naps. Marelli was just about to attack the camera he was so annoyed with the photo shoot. Portia escaped under the sofa to avoid the camera. I LOVE these two so much!!!! (Even though Portia would not participate in the photo shoot, she's a little doll!)

Update on Puppies

Well, the puppies are six days old tonight - They are doing well, growing every day. Portia would really like me to keep my paws off her babies, but I can't do that. I just want to hold them all the time, I don't do that, but I do pick them up several times a day. It will be so exciting when they open their eyes, they look like little moles rooting their way around, (though I have never seen a mole, it's what I imagine they look like).

Today's weight:

Little boy - 11 oz.
Both little girls - 14 oz.

He is catching up with the girls. :)
