Does anyone understand their own fragility? I doubt it. People never know what thing it is that will break the thread that holds them together. There are things that unravel us little by little, without our knowing the exact breaking point.
Most of the time, it is not the big thing that breaks us - it's the little thing.
My little Marelli
“We who choose to surround ourselves
with lives even more temporary than our
own, live within a fragile circle;
easily and often breached.
Unable to accept its awful gaps,
we would still live no other way.
We cherish memory as the only
certain immortality, never fully
understanding the necessary plan.”
― Irving Townsend
“There's no fear in a shallow heart
because the shallow heart is faint and don't fall apart,
But feeling hearts that truly care
are fragile to the flow of air.”
― Q-tip
“Now the thought of forever makes me tired. Frightened. Sad. What is forever worth? When love is so fragile and even one human life so long?” ~Stacey Jay

Indeed, it takes great courage to take the risk to love another. Life is not something to take for granted as we all so often tend to do... Great pictures; the precious pup seems to be full of things to say with his/her inquisitive and gentle eyes :)
I love those Q-tip lyrics. What song are they from?
And I agree with you, living in my fragile circle, I would choose nothing else. I can't even imagine it.

I so agree.Of all the things in this life love is the most vulnerable.
Cute puppy,my brother has had several maltese. His wife loves them.
Adrielle, I agree that it does take a lot of courage to love another. Thank you for the compliment on the photos. My little dogs are not the easiest to photograph. Porta is even harder to photograph than Marelli. Plus, I think white dogs are harder? They are both wonderful and I love them very much! When we got Marelli, he was 8 weeks old and weighed 8 oz. He's 9 years old now. They are both spoiled rotten. :) Thanks for visiting. Hope you have a wonderful and beautiful weekend. xOx
Hi Jo,
It's from The Fear In The Heart of The Man.
Yes, everything in life seems to be so fragile - no way around it. :)
Wishing you a beautiful and lovely weekend!

Becky, truly love is...
I agree with your sister-in-law, Maltese are wonderful little dogs. I have two and they are my best friends. I love Maltese because they do not shed, that's a big plus.
Have a beautiful weekend!
