Shop Green

Mexican Baskets

Nicaragua Baskets

Baskets are one way I shop green. While living in Germany I did all my shopping using baskets. This way of life continued after I returned to the states. I get a few stares now and then with a cart full of baskets; living in the Midwest you can expect that. I don't mind at all. I've been doing it for so long that it does not bother me. These are some of the types I use. I love the colorful ones.

What a great idea.... I imagine the Wal-Mart security people would be following me all over the store if I started putting my items into bags like yours.... it would drive them nuts! LOL

They are fun.:) You'll need at least two though. I don't buy a lot of groceries at one time, so I never need more than six, and usually two will do it.

Di, it does drive them nuts.:) And they will watch you at first, you can count on it. I just ignore them and go about my shopping. They are more fun to store around the house than bags. I have a corner where I just pile them up, it is decorative and handy.:)

Amy, the baskets are great! And soooo soooo cute.:) I have a ton of cloth bags, many I have made, but I use those when I go to other stores and thrift shops. Some stores will frown a little, but hey, if they want my business they can deal with it.:)

Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog...so nice to meet you!

I love your style. These baskets are gorgeous and Pablo Neruda is definitely one of my very favorites too.

I'll definitely be back!

Linda, OMG, I just saw a list of your favorite movies and we have the same taste in movies, too. How cool!:)

Thanks a bunch for stopping by. I am making a new blog for the items I sell.
