Spring in the making

Just a few pics from my yard since Spring arrived. Things are starting to bloom, and everything is the most amazing green, that it takes my breath away to look at all the beauty. Spring seemed to take its time getting here this year, but well worth the wait.

I found this bike at the dumpster.:) I had been wanting an old bike to put in my yard for vines to grow on. Even at the Goodwill, the ones I have found were more than I wanted to pay for this purpose. Even though I was not crazy about the colors of this one, I figure, that in time it will look all rusty and old...just the way I like.

Thanks, Minka! I like the colors of the flowers and others colors of the yard, just not crazy about the pinkish/purple bike...but it'll age and wear over time.:) Thanks for stopping by!

Lovin the sweet look of your yard. I like the color of the bicycle... you could always find a rust colored paint and spray it.

But it matches with the flowers, doesn't it? And I guess I like it because it looks so unconventional...

By the way, if you want a postcard, you can join my little guessing game...

Wow I love all the colors in this post not just the flowers. Very inspiring.

Di, I thought of that, but I think it will look better in time if I let it age naturally. Since I live right in the city, I have a postage stamp yard, and still, it is amazing how much of my time it requires. And I tell you the truth, I grew up in a small town in the Ozarks, and I have seen more wildlife while living in the city than I ever saw growing up.:) Go figure. We have trapped several possums, woodchucks and hauled them 3 hours away to let them lose in the wildlife refuge. We have deer around here all the time, seen raccoons. I feel sorry for them, there is no place left for them here.

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Minka, you are right, it does. Amazing, I never intentionally set out to have all purple and pink flowers, but somehow, that's what I have. Maybe I was supposed to have the pinkish-purple bike?:) I'll be by your blog in a bit.:))

Gina, thanks so much! If we get anymore rain, it's all going to float away.:)

Wow! Your yard has so much color in it... I love the green that comes with summer, and that purple is so vibrant.

Hey, Thanks for stopping by. Your garden accessories look so colorful and happy. I'm jealous that your clematis looks so healthy. Mine has been a dud. Four years and still no flowers. I haven't given up on her yet.

Each of these pics is beautiful on their own, but your collection here is magnificent. I love these. Thanks...

I love that purple bike in the garden. The colors are great together with the green leaves.
