It's been one of those freakin' weeks, when I want to catch the next magic carpet and fly far far away. I swear, it's been one of those weeks! This poem gives me hope, I think. Hope you all have a great weekend!
The time will come
when, with elation,
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door, in your own mirror,
and each will smile at each other's welcome,
and say, sit here. Eat.
You will love again the stranger who was your self.
Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart
to itself, to the stranger who has loved you
all your life, whom you ignored
for another, who knows you by heart.
Take down the love letters from the bookshelf,
the photographs, the desperate notes,
peel your own image from the mirror.
Sit. Feast on your life.

~Lovely weekend dear! XO*
I was hoping you could tell me.:) I think I'll hang around outside tonight, and just maybe one will stop and let me on. Just leave the light on and we'll come by and pick you up.
I'm sorry to hear you've had a rough week. Hopefully next week will be better! I love the poem. Have a good weekend - I hope you get a chance to relax!

Thanks for stopping by, Di. Hope you have a super holiday weekend.
It is a nice and optimistic poem. It makes me think you are optimistic as well and don't let a freakin' week beat you.
I wish you a nice week that's coming!
Minka, I'm really not an optimist. I'm the one thinking if anything can go wrong, it will. Surely it will get better. One thing for sure about life, it can always be worse. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!!
what a beautiful poem
Glad you liked it, Rebekah! I thought it was nice! I love poetry, and write a lot of it myself. It just always feels so personal that I never put it on my blog.
Thanks for stopping by.
