{mind control}

Photograph by Jo Whaley

As you think so shall you be! Since you cannot physically experience another person, you can only experience them in your mind. Conclusion: All of the other people in your life are simply thoughts in your mind. Not physical beings to you, but thoughts. Your relationships are all in how you think about the other people of your life. Your experience of all those people is only in your mind. Your feelings about your lovers come from your thoughts. For example, they may in fact behave in ways that you find offensive. However, your relationship to them when they behave offensively is not determined by their behavior, it is determined only by how you choose to relate to that behavior. Their actions are theirs, you cannot own them, you cannot be them, you can only process them in your mind. ~Wayne Dyer

does the heart even have a small voice in the matter or is it all grey matter. Interesting concept. ~rick

Ain't that just the truth... and for some of us it takes better than half our life to learn this.

Rikki, perhaps it's all grey matter...I'm still trying to figure it all. I've decided I'll spend my entire life trying to figure it all out. Just about the time I feel I have something figured out, I find out I have nothing figured out. :)) Hey, that's life, right...a whole lot of fun and games.:) xo

Di, gosh, you're so right! I always thought by the time I reached 40 I'd have all of life figured out - heck, at that time, I just headed down a river of confusion.:) xoxo

our thoughts are our realities.

huh, i like the part about people's actions being all their own...we cannot control them nor change them. it's an important concept to remember for sure.

have a happy weekend!

It is true and worth remembering but not always easy to apply to your own life!

This quote really rings true.

I think A LOT of how we relate to others is dictated by how we choose to see them. Most of us have many flaws, but we may choose to overlook them in some cases. Other times, we might feel too strongly that we cannot accept another person's flaws, and will thereby choose NOT to forgive them.

All of those choices are based on past experiences and the way that we've processed them. But the way I think and process something might not be the same way that you would... That's why I really believe that most everything in life is completely subjective.

We can all LOOK at the same thing, but we will all SEE something different. And the way that we see something is determined by how we've CHOSEN to see it. So, it's not only in how we process something, it's also how we CHOOSE to process it.

Does that make any sense?

Interesting thoughts here ... but do we have the perfect answer? ... is there a perfect answer? Maybe we should just enjoy relationship as well and as long as possible?

Hello my wonderful friend, Don! It was wonderful coming here and finding you had visited. I'm so thrilled.
And yes, thoughts are our realities!xo

Christina, There are many times I wish I could blame someone else for my actions or words, but in the end I own it all. I find this to be a good thing and...a bad thing.:)
Have a wonderful weekend! xoxo

Curious Cat, I never find anything easy; I fight it all.:) xo

Anthony, I could not agree with you more. And your comment makes perfect sense to me. Since there are no two of us that are cut from the same mold, we have different experiences, childhoods, people who have influenced us, taught us, we all view people and the world through a different set of eyes. Makes for a fun and adventurous ride. Don't ya think? Thank you for your thoughts and insight, it's always a delight to read.
Have a wonderful and adventurous weekend! xoxo

Peter, I really don't have the answers to any of life's complex questions.:) thanks for your visit! Have a great weekend! But how could you not, being in Paris, one of the most wonderful, beautiful and exciting cities on earth. xo

Very profound words...I watch Wayne Dyer on PBS Channel... I agree, it will take our entire life to figure the mystery of life, in the meantime have some joysss... Lately, I've been thinking a lot about the difference between joy & happiness! Have a lovely weekend my friend! ~Blessings as always! XO*

That's why it's important to stop and process what we're feeling before we react to a perceived action. Interesting how feelings are ephemeral entities. Here today, gone tomorrow. I enjoyed visiting your blog! Best, Margaret

I like this quote. It's amazing how simple it is, but so complicated to learn.

Interesting thoughts you have shared.
they say that it takes a lifetime to figure out and learn these things.

Lenore, I've been thinking about the same thing, alot. Hope your week is bringing you lots of joy and happiness. xoxo

Margaret, your advice is what I am trying very hard to do. The older I get, the more I find it important to stop and think...before acting and speaking. I don't always do it successfully, but I'm trying. xoxo

shopgirl28, it is very hard...but a nice thing to work toward. xoxo

Slices of Beauty, agreeing with you. xoxo

Binoy, A complex subject, yes. Anytime we deal with human nature, it is always complex. Mostly I find myself complex, more so than others.:) xo

Jenean, I'm doing a lot of studying on this these days. Trying to redirect some of my thinking. xoxo

Draffin Bears, It's going to take my lifetime for me to figure myself out.:) Thanks so much for the compliment and for stopping by. xoxo
