What do we see...

Photo by Sixpence & A Blue mOOn

The dark shadow we seem to see in the distance is not really a mountain ahead, but the shadow of the mountain behind - a shadow from the past thrown forward into our future. It is a dark sludge of historical sectarianism. We can leave it behind us if we wish.  ~David Trimble

The quote seems to be explaining the concept of perspective in a way. I love the statement that we have a choice to leave it behind :) The picture is beautiful!

I like the quote too. It's great to see things in a different light. I never see beyond my nose:)) Reminds me of when I was small here in Sicily. My grandmother was in America, and I used to think that America was behind the mountain that was in front of our village. When I went there of course I realized how mistaken I was:) I'm following you from Trapani, Sicily.

Adrielle, I think leaving some things behind is a very hard thing to do. I wish I were better at it.:)
Happy Sunday! xOx

Hello Twin Sister, Funny how we seem to find things at the right time to soften the harshness we are dealing with internally. Happy, Happy Sunday! Love ya girl! xOx

Ciccia, thanks so much for the visit and following. I love meeting new people and having new followers. Sicily is such a magical place! It's delicious how we view life and the world when we are children - something so pure and simple about our thinking. If only we didn't lose that in somewhere in our journey. Wishing you a great day. xOx
