Faith NOT Fear

I need to go to bed tonight believing in miracles and that tomorrow can and will be a marvelous, extraordinary day. Why is it so easy to believe in miracles for others...but not so much for myself? Forcing myself to think positive, yet, with so much fear swirling about it’s tough. Does fear strangle the little breath of faith breathing inside us? Unlike so many who are certain of what they believe, I am not one.

I think miracles can happen...just always trust that whatever happens -however difficult it may be - there is something to be gained from it - something to be learnt...that is what I tell myself to get through this life...that and I try to believe in a little magic here and there, like if I were a child again...xxx

Miracles do happen...this I know for sure. Never stop believing : )
I read this recently and keep thinking about it...
“When we walk to the edge of all the light we have
and take the step into the darkness of the unknown,
we must believe that one of two things will happen.
There will be something solid for us to stand on
or we will be taught to fly."

Curious Cat, it is so nice to see you. Thank you for stopping by and leaving some much needed encouragement. Totally agree, it is so important to keep that child-like faith. Children do not question, they just BELIEVE. Maybe this is where we lose it, we start to analyze miracles and faith? Nice to see you. xOx

Ladycat, it is always nice to read your thoughts and input into my postings. I do believe in miracles, it's just easier to believe in them for others. I am afraid to stop believing in them, so I will keep on believing. xOx

For me, life is not worth living without faith...and fear tends to do the same work as the devil - steal, kill and destroy. It absolutely strangles faith, no matter what you believe. So, my friend, I pray you will be comforted and that your fears would melt away. I pray also that you would be given what you need to solidify your faith, so that you might have the joy and peace you crave and deserve!

My favorite quote... "We have nothing to fear but fear itself" Winston Churchill

Adrielle, thank you for your thoughts...and I agree, fear does strangle faith. However, I do disagree with Churchill. I think there are many things in life that can and do cause us to be fearful. In my opinion, it is unrealistic to believe we can live a life completely free of fear. I guess my belief is, the person who does not have any fear has not lived long enough, or experienced bad things in their life, yet. xOx
