Our feelings of sadness and joy are what make us human. Life is so bittersweet so much of the time. This makes me think of the line from the Goo Goo Dolls song, Iris..."you bleed just to know you're alive". Hopefully the joy outweighs the hurt. Sometimes the hurt leads us to wear we need to be to feel the joy.

I almost used that line in the post. It was late and I was tired, a bit lazy with my posting. True, if only the joy outweighs the hurt...in the end.
