The Beauty of a Second

I could watch this video all day - the calming, zen-like effect it has on me is...nice.

I’ve thought about how we live our lives, in seconds. A second can change everything, for good or bad. There have been many seconds that changed my course, turning me in an unexpected direction. There are those seconds when I wish I could put time on hold. And there are those times when living hurts so much that you search for those seconds that give you hope and happiness.

I took this picture of a picture hanging in the corridor of the hospital a week ago. Sadly, I did not get the name of the artist to give credit to him or her. I will get the name of the artist when I get the chance so I can post photo credit. It's not a clear photo, it was too dark to get a great one. Still, I LOVE it!

It is such a beautiful piece of art. I would love to have this hanging in my home - it projects a sense of truth, honesty, and purity.

I really enjoyed the brief ride on which the video took me, and the photo resonated in much the same way that the cello does. Wonderful combination.

Here's to the seconds that move us.
