storms of life

We had a little storm last night, a welcome sight. It was nothing big, a little wind and a "little" rain. At first, it appeared that it was going to be much worse. Life's storms is a bit that way, sometimes, they appear they are going to be devastating, and they turn out not to be so bad. Just the threat of a storm can be draining. I'm trying my best to let go of worrying. (Easier said than done.)

When I was a kid, we had a wonderful doctor in our town who made house calls, (matter of fact, he did not even have an office.) He would always say to me when he came to our house, "worrying is rust to the body; all it does is decay."
He was wise and wonderful!
When I look back on people who made an impact on me, he is at the top of the list.

I'd like to be one who has the faith to leave things in the hands of a higher power. (I'm so working on it.)

I'm right there with you in working on this...very difficult for me.
Glad you had the doctor as a postive influence. As a child, I also had a doctor who made housecalls. Not pleasant memories, though.

I hope that you are worrying less these days. What I do is remind myself that the Light of God never fails. That Light has never failed me EVER. If you are still worrying try watching The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. We are the architects of lives. The stories that we tell ourselves become our experiences. Therefore if you don't like the experiences then start telling different stories.
