Unpretentious Beauty

A couple of years ago this plant was not doing so well on the outside of the fence, so, I moved it. Last year, there were no blooms but this morning, it presented a lovely surprise; and beautiful it is! Along with some, (what I think to be great shots) are some nice quotes to go with the photos.

Beauty is how you feel inside, and it reflects in your eyes. It's not a physical thing. ~Sophia Loren

When you look closely people are so strange and so complicated that they're actually beautiful.

The greatest treasures are those invisible to the eye but found by the heart.

For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it. For every truth there is an ear somewhere to hear it. For every love there is a heart somewhere to receive it. ~ Ivan Panin

By plucking her petals, you do not gather the beauty of the flowers. ~Tagore

Perhaps, when we feel we are stagnant, going nowhere - we just need to be transplanted?

Transplantation often helps :) The flowers are beautiful! I wish I'd have more sense for gardening ... :)

Hello, Poppy! If anything grows or blooms for me, it has nothing to do with my gardening ability - it's all purely accidental.

Thanks for adding me.:)

Have a wonderful weekend!

P.S. I'm still loving that name!

Poppy, that is called "Bird of Paradise". I have never seen this grown in my part of the country, doesn't mean they aren't. I think though, they are a tropical flower. I am sure they can be grown under the right conditions. Plants and flowers have to be maintenance free for me to grow them. I either do not take care of them enough, or, I smother them. Be sure you let me know if you do, and how they do. :)

So, WHAT is this flower called, Six? It's very beautiful! Wish we had a lovely garden like yours... I'd hang out in it ALL the time!

The few plants that we DO have are succulents, mainly out of practicality because we rarely ever think to water them. So, drought-tolerant plants are how we roll!

Great quotes, as usual. My fave is the Sophia Loren one. Soooo true!

Me, again!
I just noticed "Lily" amongst the labels for this post, so I guess that's my answer. Duh!

My flower knowledge leaves a LOT to be desired...

It truly is a gorgeous bloom! I keep encouraging my day lilies to bloom, but I think a move is in order as they haven't favored me with their presence in the last 3 years....
