hey, sweetheart! how was the trip? i hope you guys had a wonderful time, entertaining and relaxing... i'm envious, it looked like it would be so much fun.
the moon is so very romantic...and captivating. i am convinced our moods change with the moon. (mine does) :))
yes, it is me in that photo.:)
thanks for the visit today! i actually have a little more time to be on here today, not always the case.
Yes, the convention trip was a lot of fun! Entertaining (as always), but I wouldn't say that it was at all relaxing. In fact, I always have to take an extra day of vacation time from my day job, just so I can somewhat recover afterward. Four days of all that walking, and having to deal with those crowds is quite physically exhausting! Not to mention all of the socializing that's involved...
Thank god, it's only once a year!
Judging from that header photo, you are quite the pretty lady! What made you decide to sneak out of anonymity?
Anthony, I do know they can be exhausting! How many days did this one last? I went to several conventions while living in Europe, they were lots of fun...and exhaustin. My favorite part of the event was going out to eat with others at night - so much fun, always wonderful places. Good to hear you and Tommy had a great time. Man, he is one talented artist!!!
(lol) I don't think I have been in hiding. I guess I am a little private. IRL, people just start asking me questions.:) Though I am pretty opinionated and do not have to be asked very often when it comes to political issues.:)
Thanks so much for coming by to see me after you arrived home.
To answer your question, Six, I would say that I am an artist in spirit more than I am in actual practice.
Really, the more accurate term for me would probably be "artistic" because, while I do have a huge appreciation for art in all forms, I don't actually create much myself. I only dabble periodically with art projects, and when I do, they usually incorporate some form of collage.
I can't draw or paint, like my husband can, so I have instead managed to develop a knack for the re-assemblage of existing imagery. I have a lot of fun with it, too!
There's also my love for photography, but I don't tend to make much time for that anymore... :(
Linda, you're so witty.:) thanks for stopping by. xoxo
Christina, you have a point. i think this is just how i will view a 'lonely' moon from now on.:) xoxo
Anthony, I also do collages, and love doing them. Something about adding several different objects, pieces of this and that. and creating a visual picture is quite artistic. I can sense you are very creative. You're a wonderful writer! I'm going to try and get a post up before turning in for the night. :) Talk to you later. xoxo
I love your moon photo ~ something so lovely looking up at the sky at night. Fabulous quote and have written it in my book ~ thank you. Also the new header photo of yourself is so beautiful and arty.
Carolyn, your words are so sweet and kind, thank you. Glad you enjoyed the quote. I'm a quote junkie.:) And I appreciate your compliment on the header, very kind of you to mention it. xoxo

Btw, are you an artist?
xoxo
Hmmm. Between the gorgeous pic and your header, you have me humming "Blue Mooooon...you saw me standing alone..."
the moon does look lonely, but i suppose sometimes the stars steal it's glory. maybe it's happy to be the only shining thing in the sky?
