Hello...

Hello Everyone...

I hope this post finds all of you doing well and enjoying the start to fall.

Since I did not want to put a damper on any-one's good mood, I haven't been posting. We've been very busy with Dr. appointments for a long time. D. has been getting three treatments a week to try and get some feeling back in his feet, so they will not have to be amputated. I was treating them 2-3 times a day for awhile, and had a nurse who came to the house twice a week. The nurse has stopped coming and I am having to treat them only once a day, and haven't had to wrap them for about a week and half now, which is so nice. I hold my breath each day, though, fearful of something new being wrong. He has been up sorting his books on shelves, and I can't tell you how it drains me to worry about a book or something falling on his feet. But it's good for him to be doing something.

I've been trying to stay positive and get back into doing a few creative things. Creativity seems to go into hiding when the heart and soul are fearful and full of worry.

The hot weather has broken and gorgeous weather has arrived. The cooler weather is wonderful. And if the Universe were to ask me...I would tell it to stay the way it is for a long time. Not having to run the air or heat is a very nice thing.

Fall may not be as colorful this year, due to the extreme heat and drought over the summer. Hopefully there will be some fall colors to enjoy.

Again, I hope everyone is doing well!!!

Some pics to show you what little I have been doing in the creativity department. :)

My idea and inspiration book - collaged the cover. Quite happy with the finished product. :)

Homemade rolls.

Crockpot chicken and noodle soup.

Roasted carrot and beet with quinoa and feta cheese.

Grilled chicken sandwich on homemade rolls, fresh spinach, fresh basil and cilantro (because it is growing like crazy in my herb garden, a homemade dill sauce, sliced yellow pepper (because I had some that needed to be used) and topped with crumbled blue cheese - turned out delicious!!!

And now...Marelli says hi...

So good to se you back. I am sorry to hear of your struggles and hope things continue to improve. I can understand how draining it is for both of you.
I always enjoy seeing your creative works...so inspiring. And that soup and bread look amazing. I was just thinking last night that we are getting into soup weather. We are having lovely fall weather here...my favorite : )

Hi Ladycat, thanks so much for you kind words! Always good to hear from a supportive friend.

I haven't been feeling extremely creative, but I'm working on it. :)

Don't you just love soup weather!? I do. Soups are a favorite at my house and I will look for any excuse to make soup.

Thanks for the compliment on the puppies, they're the best!

Have a great weekend!!!
