wall complete

Finally, I finished my wall today. YEA!!! With all the hospital and doctor appointments of late, I had little energy to do much at one time on my wall that I have been decoupaging. I was determined to finish it by today. I can't tell you how much I love it. This is a wall that goes to the basement and I felt adventurous. I figured it I didn't like it, I could strip it and paint it. However, I can't stop looking at it, I love it so much. Now, I need to finish the painting of the other walls leading to the basement. It's too narrow and would be too much to do any of the other adjoining walls the same. I'm quite tired of cutting pictures out of magazines. :) So happy with the finished look.

It was really hard for me to get a decent picture, it's a very narrow and dark space.

Xenia, I love it more than I ever dreamed I would. Seriously, I can't stop looking at it. And it looks better irl than in the photos. I love it so much that I am going to do the upstairs hallway, which is small, but going to do a theme in that space. Also going to do a penny floor where the featured wall is. I'm not anticipating it being too difficult, the space is not that big. (I can hope, right?) I love changing things up. It thrills my soul that I do love it so much, it would be a pain to take it all off after so many hours invested in the project.

Your new blog looks awesome. Glad I can leave a comment. There must have been a glitch somewhere, because I couldn't leave a comment on your old blog. I was getting a message to update my browser, when I did, I still got the same message. Anyways, not a problem now that you have moved. I am sure you are glad to have that behind you. That just seems overwhelming to me.

Thanks for the compliment on mine. I am always changing things. Seems I can never leave well enough alone. :))

Thanks so much for the visit and the compliments, they mean a lot.

Wishing you an awesome weekend.

Hey, Jo...thank you. I am loving the wall more than I ever imagined I would. I want to do the entire house. lol I won't, but I really loving it. It's wonderful to do something that is so satisfying.

Thanks so much for the compliment on the blog. You know me, I am always changing it. I am happy with it for the time being, maybe I'll leave it alone for a time. I have come to the conclusion that I like changing things when things in my life are chaotic. It helps me feel like I have control of 'something'. :)

It's awesome to see your visit. Thanks so much!

Have a great weekend, Sweetie.

Carolyn, it really is so much fun just to go look at it. I tell you, had I any idea how wonderful this would make me feel I would have done it a long time ago. :) I am going to do the wall on the upstairs landing, not sure whether to do faces/people or botanical.

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Oh wowza!! I would have never though to do this so permanently, but I love it!!
So glad you popped by my blog today so I could come over and see this - as I think I might just have to "borrow" the idea as inspiration in my basement work space.

A

Hello Artie! Thanks so much for visiting, it is a treat to see you stopped by. Your blog is lovely and full of inspiration. I am always looking for anything that inspires. :)

You know I had thought about the wall for a long time, but always feared doing it. I tend to do crazy things on the spur of the moment, and there was that moment when I just picked an image from a magazine and put it up. I am very happy with the end result. Some of my favorite things are when I just do and don't do a lot of planning. Sometimes when I plan, I get too worried about doing it exact and over-think the process. My brain seems to work better when I don't over-think. :)

Again, thank you for the visit.

Would love to see your creation should you decide to do a wall or partial wall.
