I was tagged by Kate to list six uninteresting things that make me happy. Though I am not very good at these tag things, I will attempt this one. I am not going to tag anyone, but if you would like to do this, please do. Not listed in any order and there are so many things I love, it was hard to pick only six.
1.) Flowers (Especially the ones I can get to grow. This is one of my roses that has bloomed this year).
2.) That first cup of coffee in the morning.
3.) Nature (all of it. I took this photo last summer).
4.) Old things (I love the secrets that are embedded deep in the soul of 'old things'. I bought this lovely piece of copper from an old man in Turkey, who was a vendor on the street).
5.) Hats (All kinds - One of my many hats).
6.) VW Bugs (though I do not own one now, it was my favorite car. I’m thinking I want another one, they are so much fun to drive, ...and they make me smile).
What makes you smile???

your hat makes me smile ;-))
Very cool things. My daughter loves bw bugs and I too am a fan of flowers.
Namaki, I have so many hats. I love wearing them. Glad I made you smile. xo
Gina, they're so much fun to drive. I think all women love flowers. I get so excited when I have one grow and not die on me.:) xo
I like the hat! I have one my husband bought me last year that never made it on my head. But I will wear it this year so he knows I appreciate it!
thanks for sharing!
is chocolate considered uninteresting? That would be first on my list...
Pop and Ice, I think hats are one of those things that if you don't wear very often, it feels a little awkward. They are fun to wear. :)
vvbug, I don't know how you find something 'uninteresting'.:) I finally gave up and just picked some fun things.:) I like chocolate ALOT!!!
I'm with you on that first cup of coffee, and the second one too! Chocolate cake always does it for me too... And bookstores with lots of time on my hands.
:)
See, you're just so interesting yourself that you couldn't possibly pick anything UNinteresting for your list, Six!
They're ALL neat and interesting things. I'm especially intrigued with that old copper jug/urn that you got in Turkey. And from an actual old street vendor! I mean, how romantic is THAT?!
Your grasshopper (?) shot is great, too! I share your love of nature, and you know I appreciate a good photograph.
Actually, the whole interesting/UNinteresting thing is completely subjective...
Oops! I forgot to answer the question.
What makes me smile?
Well, lots of things... but to keep it brief and relevant, I'll just say that connecting with neat people like you through the blogosphere definitely brings a smile to my face!
Love the VW's! My fiance used to drive them, and he still has a fondness for them but says he spent so much time fixing them that he'll never drive another :(.
Beautiful pictures in your garden!
nothing makes me smile, but again reminds me that the some silly things are the greatest things in our life, which give us lot of happiness.
I dont know somehow this post is pricking my heart.. lucky to see these...
Journaling and sipping green tea!
Erin, I am in agreement with you, that second cup is almost as good as the first.:) Bookstores, well...a place I worked...and loved it!
Anthony, gosh, you're just the sweetest and nicest guy I know. And I am sure some of my likes would not be on the top 10 list of likes for others.:) The only thing I can think of that I do NOT find interesting is, horror movies and drugs. I've watched ONE horror movie in my life and NEVER tried drugs! I couldn't believe it when I saw the pic of the grasshopper, it turned out so much better than I expected, being that I am NO photographer - any good photos that I get are purely accidental.
Now, can I say that YOU are the best! You make me smile!
CC, Ah, they do require a little more maintenance than most cars, I guess. I never had much trouble with mine, so I don't have the bad memories of car maintenance. Thank you for the compliment. (hugs)
Binoy, Surely something makes you smile??? Like a sunrise or sunset? Perhaps the smile of a child? I hope something or someone brings a smile to you face. I am glad you enjoyed the post!
Slices of Beauty, yes, that would make one smile. I love to journal. Hope you find time over the weekend to journal and sip on a cup of green tea. HUGS
This post, and Sixpence in general!!!
Hello David!
