Here are a few more pics from around my home. As you can see I do not have a particular style - a little of this and a little of that...and things that reach out and grab hold of my heartstrings. I like things that have paint peeling, nicks and scratches and bumps and bruises. I can't stand for things to match - As long as things are eye pleasing to me that's all that matters. I like things that had a life before me, a story to tell. Everything in my house...has a story to tell.

Love the 'picture fm Germany'~ reminds me of the view from the top of a mountain! Life hands us the hot valleys sometimes & we can climb back up to the top (so to speak)...the view & air is so much better! ps:Thanks darling, we should arrange a PJ party...weeeee~

I am so sorry for you and your family. I have lost to very close family members to pancreatic cancer, so I know how difficult a time this must be for you. Again, my deepest condolences to you and your family.

Now, about your decor... LOVING it! Those billiard balls in the jar totally "speak" to me. As a matter of fact, I just filled a big apothecary-type jar with nothing but marbles. Glass and lots of color, two of my favorite things!
Your stamp art is great! It reminds me of Nick Bantock's work. Are you familiar? He's best known for his Griffin & Sabine series of books. Check it out, if you haven't already.

Yep, I've heard of Nick Bantock. I have every single book of his. Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE his work and writing. I have 4 sets of Griffin and Sabine, in different rooms - so I can read them anytime. And believe me, I have worn out a couple of sets. I am addicted!!! I've even bought the set for friends over the years. None seem to enjoy them as much as I do.:)

I'm sorry about your family member...
My father died of pancreatic cancer in 1999, and it took him fast... cancer in general runs rampant in my family and has taken three in the past five years.
Moving on... It is a deep part of my own personality that loves the "a little of this and a little of that" approach to life. You can see it in my tiles. Love your shots... I think we're a lot alike, these things are interesting and pull at me as well!

Hello there, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your relative. Photography is a great healer. You look like you are enjoying it. I particularly like the green vase with peeling paint.
Photography saved my husband from a two year long disability where the pain was so bad he was in tears most days. He has now reinvented himself as a professional photographer and his stuff is terrific.

However, I've straightened up my Google Reader, which has become much better lately, so things will change from now on.
