Friday Night

It's about four days without my medicine and boy, not sure how well I am going to do the rest of the month.  My eyes are swollen and they hurt so badly. All I want to do is go to bed and stay in a dark room and hope tomorrow they feel more normal.

I have so much to do, like I have to move the old washer and dryer out of the utility room by Monday. Hopefully, the delivery guy(s) will help me move the dryer back in.

The pond is still a mess from the snake. David has an infected toe from walking on his feet so much in order to catch the snake. They have started him back on antibiotics. I still wonder how a human body can handle such heavy doses of antibiotics.

But the fish are looking good since the snake is gone. Most of them are goldfish, probably 4-5 Koi, not sure. We bought a bunch of little feeders for 10 cents each about a year ago. They have grown so much and looking so pretty. Nothing as calming as watching fish. But also quite stressful when something is after them, especially a snake.

We went to Petsmart yesterday just to look, a fun thing to do. Saw a couple cute little creatures. They were kind enough to pose for a photo. Check them out...They're so cute.

A Sunday Kind of Lazy

Took these yesterday, actually. Marelli watching me work.:)
Not much energy to do much today, used it all up yesterday. We also got the pond cleaned, put the fish back in it. Yes, they survived (thrived) in a green plastic tub and living in the basement through the winter. Can't believe it, but I'm so happy. Now, if they will just stay alive in the pond.:) They are three times the size they were last summer. Lost one during the winter, it jumped out of the tub?
Fish photos are not that great, pond is a little cloudy and it was late in the evening. I get the best pictures of them when the sun is shining on the pond.

Pefect Day

It's one of those days...when everything feels and looks perfect. Considering I spent some of the day yesterday in the basement praying that none of the sighted tornadoes would touch down, today feels amazing. All the flowers and greenery seem to be thankful also, appearing bright and perky today. I am doing a little dance that my "little" pond is so crystal clear today, something I crave. Just maybe...I have found a filter system that is working. The fish seem to be doing well, and this is no small thing.:)

My prayers go out to all who have been affected by the horrible storms

alone, naturally...

My little postage stamp size yard was left to take care of itself this summer. From the 1st day of June until the 10th of September, I spent every day at the hospital. I missed working in my yard, watching the flowers bloom...but it fared very well. I like the way the ivy has found its own path, the way it looks so natural. I have hopes that next summer will be sweeter.

The little frogs no longer sit on their perch on top the pond, the base broke and they can no longer sit. Love the weathered and age look, they have aged quite nicely, I do think.:-) I have a soft spot for broken, cracked, and worn items...
